Music
Being a bit of a muso, and playing guitar in a band a while back (38 years ago), I love my music, I like Rock, Blues, Heavy Metal, Classical and even country rock but I don't get or understand Jazz, what the hell is that about????? Rant over, so I have select a few of my favorite albums, songs and artists below.
Peter Frampton
I have been a Frampton fan for a very long time, he was the guy that made me want to pick up a guitar and play, I came across him on the album Humble Pie Live at Fillmore East with the late Steve Marriot, I played that album to death and still listen to it today but on CD the vinyl is worn out, anyway, after leaving the Pie I found in my opinion his best album Wind of Change, a great album, the list of tracks is below, my favourite being ‘All I wanna be is by your side’ followed by ‘Fig tree bay’ another great track.
Wind of change
1. "Fig Tree Bay" – 3:36
2. "Wind of Change" – 3:05
3. "Lady Lieright" – 2:56

8. "The Lodger" – 5:44
9. "Hard" – 4:30
10. "Alright" – 4:26
Then the double album Frampton comes alive hit the shops and launched him into the mainstream and super stardom, this was also a great album with old favourites played live. The albums ‘Finger Prints’ and ‘Thank you Mr Churchill’ also deserve a mention, Finger Prints being an instrumental, great guitar playing and easy listening, Mr Churchill is my current top of the list, love some of the tracks on it, ‘Road to the sun’ and ‘Asleep at the wheel’ being just a couple. Track list below.

YES
What can you say about an amazing band like this that has not already been said, a unique sound now copied buy many bands in one form or another, Jon Anderson has a really unusual voice and fits this type of progressive rock perfectly, Steve Howe plays the guitar beautifully, amazing finger work, Chris Squire the bass playing has a unique style immediately recognisable, (Unfortunately Chris Squire passed away July 2015, Thank you Chris for bringing many enjoyable hours listening to your music), Rick Wakeman incredible keyboard player and Alan White great drummer, this would be my dream line up as the band has had many members over the last 45 years and yet their music is immediately recognised by any Yes fan. Also a feature of the Yes albums was the artwork on the covers, really fitting the 70's & 80's stunning designs by Roger Dean..
